Back to the Sea

It’s been a while since I’ve posted to the blog; I can’t say I’ve been too busy, it’s just that my tempo doesn’t always include sitting down to write about where we are or what we’re doing. We’re just busy enjoying the doing. Anyway…I’ll try give you a short view of what we’ve been up to. Before the end of October we headed north into the Sea of Cortez. We’ve stopped at many beautiful anchorages in coves and bays sometimes near small outlying villages and sometimes just accompanied by the quiet beauty of the local.
Once we left La Paz we headed for Partida Cove for a few days then to Isla San Francisco, better known as “The Hook”. There we hiked to the top of a ridge with a great overview of the entire Bay. The Hook is where we really began to play in the water, having fun snorkeling near the rocks to see what lived there. As our guide book warned, but we ignored, we were visited by hordes of no-see-ums; I stopped counting bites at 60. At one point I slept under a make shift no-see-um screen tent in the main salon and Al slept with his Lycra suit on, both looked pretty funny. The next place we went to was Bahia San Evaristo; we stayed on to play and to sew up some hatch covers to keep those little pests out. We did short day sails to mostIt’s been a while since I’ve posted to the blog; I can’t say I’ve been too busy, it’s just that my tempo doesn’t always include sitting down to write about where we are or what we’re doing. We’ve stopped at many beautiful anchorages in coves and bays sometimes near small outlying villages anchorages, staying on for as long as we felt like. We relished in many great sunsets during our daily happy hour. I’ll continue this another day but for now please enjoy our pictures.

I think your pictures of sunsets are so beautiful - it reminds me of a holy devotion - the search for beautiful sunsets and the proverbial blue light right at the end.

It's rainy and cold but my bulbs are pushing thru towards spring. A few brave johnny-jump-ups and iceland poppies are blooming. Life goes on.

Be well and proper. xxoo Cindy
